Annapurna Base Camp Trek Itinerary - Day-to-Day Breakdown

Start your Annapurna journey with a captivating drive from Pokhara to Siwai/Matque, taking 3 to 4 hours by private jeep. This journey through the majestic Himalayas includes sparkling silver mountain vistas and lush, rolling hills. After arriving in Siwai/Matque, the trek to Chhomrong begins, covering terraced farms and crossing a long suspension bridge at Jhinu Danda. Here, you might stop for tea or lunch and even enjoy a rejuvenating dip in the nearby hot springs. The ascent to Chhomrong involves numerous stairs, leading you directly into the heart of the Annapurna region.

    The day begins with a descent from Chhomrong down a large stone staircase to the Chhomrong Khola, followed by a trek across a suspension bridge. The path then ascends to the quaint village of Sinuwa, where you are treated to stunning views of Mount Fishtail. The trek continues through a dense forest of bamboo, rhododendron, and oak, leading to the small settlements of Bamboo and Dovan. From Dovan, the trail climbs through the serene Modi Khola Valley to the Himalaya Hotel, located near a beautiful cascading waterfall and the sacred Barah Temple, providing spectacular views of the Himalayan landscape.

The trek from Deurali to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC) features a mixture of rocky terrain and lush pastures alongside Modi Khola. The final stretch from MBC to ABC is a breathtaking climb, unveiling a 360-degree panorama of the Annapurna massif, including views of Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Machhapuchre, and others.
